In just one year, Euro Blade Worx (EBX) has become an exciting and meaningful part of the future of KA-BAR and Spartan Blades in Europe.
Established by Pineland Cutlery Inc., the parent company of both brands, EBX was created to bring manufacturing, fulfillment, and product development closer to the European market. What began as a strategic investment has quickly grown into something much more: a reflection of shared vision, skilled craftsmanship, and a long-term commitment to serving European customers with excellence.
Located in the Czech Republic, EBX stands at the intersection of two proud traditions: the innovation and performance-driven standards of American knife design, and the heritage, precision, and artistry of European knife making. From the beginning, the mission was clear: to build a world-class operation that could support both KA-BAR and Spartan Blades while creating new opportunities for growth, collaboration, and regional connection.
That mission is already taking shape in remarkable ways.
Under the leadership of Executive Director Ondřej Němec, one of Europe’s best-known knife designers and makers, EBX has trained an exceptional team of craftsmen working in close collaboration with Spartan Blades. In a relatively short period of time, that team has built not only capability, but confidence, establishing a strong foundation for what promises to be an important new chapter for both brands.
For Spartan Blades, EBX has already produced two fixed blades, the Willow and the Linden. These models represent more than early production milestones. They are proof of concept, demonstrating the quality, discipline, and potential of a new operation built to uphold the standards customers have come to expect from Spartan Blades.
And the momentum is continuing to build.
EBX is now looking ahead to the hoped-for release of its first folder for Spartan Blades in June of this year. Reaching that milestone would mark a significant step forward in the shop’s development and highlight just how much the team has accomplished in its first year.
At the same time, EBX has also produced several new models for KA-BAR, with those releases expected later this year. That work underscores the broader purpose of EBX within the Pineland family. It is not simply supporting one brand or one product line. It is becoming a valuable shared resource, one that strengthens both KA-BAR and Spartan Blades while deepening their presence in one of the world’s most enthusiastic knife markets.
What makes EBX’s first year especially compelling is the strength of the foundation it has built so quickly. In a short time, the company has trained a world-class team, launched products for Spartan Blades, contributed to upcoming KA-BAR releases, and positioned itself for continued growth in Europe.
More importantly, EBX represents something larger than production alone. It reflects a belief in partnership, in investing in people, and in creating something built for the long term. For KA-BAR and Spartan Blades, Euro Blade Worx is more than an expansion into Europe. It is a statement of confidence in the future, and in the value of combining great design, trusted leadership, and skilled craftsmanship across borders.
With the Willow and Linden already completed, new KA-BAR models on the horizon, and the first Spartan Blades folder in sight, Euro Blade Worx has already delivered an impressive first year.
And this is only the beginning.
